Abstract
Radiopharmaceuticals are drugs that typically consist of a radioisotope and a ligand or some type of a biological carrier. Applications of radiopharmaceuticals include diagnostic imaging, therapy, and, ultimately, the emerging field of Theranostics. This article summarizes the current state of knowledge regarding the use of radiopharmaceuticals in oncology.
